COVID-19: S’pore Employers To Receive $675M In Foreign Worker Levy Rebates From 21 April

The Ministry of Manpower will give out almost S$ 675 million in Foreign Worker Levy rebates starting today.

Over 62,000 Singapore employers, who have paid at least one month of levy in 2020, will benefit from this.

Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat previously said in the Solidarity Budget that employers would receive a rebate of S$ 750 for every work permit or S Pass holder they have hired.

On top of that, the levy was also waived for the month of April.

This does not apply to people who employ foreign domestic workers.

Employers on PayNow Corporate will receive the rebate today (21 April), while others will get it by cheque from 15 May.

Employers may also sign up for PayNow Corporate by 29 April to get the levy rebate the next day.
