In April last year, the Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and multiple government agencies launched a website that helps Singaporeans find details on various grants and funds that they could be eligible for.
Called SupportGoWhere, it is a one-stop portal that lists all the available monetary support packages for Singaporeans who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Users only need to answer a simple questionnaire to find out which assistance programmes they are eligible for, including the initiatives that are recently announced during Budget 2021.
This helps to simplify the search process, and provide much-added convenience as users no longer have to navigate and process each scheme’s eligibility criteria.
For instance, the COVID-19 Recovery Grant (CRG) provides temporary financial support to lower- and middle-income workers (both employees and Self-Employed Persons).
For those who have lost their jobs and/or on no-pay leave, they will receive up to S$ 700 per month for three months.
Meanwhile, those who have lost their income will get up to S$ 500 per month for three months.
There are also some grants and funds that Singaporeans automatically qualify for, such as the GST Voucher.
All eligible Singaporeans will get an additional S$ 200 in June 2021, on top of the regular GST Voucher – Cash (paid every August) to help lower-income Singaporeans with their daily living expenses.
Since April 2020, SupportGoWhere — which is part of the LifeSG initiative –has seen 2.5 million visits. Find out what grants you are eligible for and where to apply here.
