If you want to find a flexible job, your best bet might be to join FlexJobs. And right now, the cost of doing so has dropped by two-thirds.

The membership-based job board — which specializes in postings for remote, part-time and other flexible jobs — is lowering its subscription fees by 67% from Black Friday through Cyber Week. Specifically, the promotion runs through Dec. 6.

To get the price break, just use the promo code FRIDAY when you sign up for a membership.

As a FlexJobs member, you will get:

  • Access to FlexJobs’ database of more than 26,000 jobs from more than 5,000 companies — FlexJobs describes it as “the biggest hand-screened database of remote and flexible jobs”
  • Access to resources like job-search checklists and 170 job skills tests to help you better assess and promote your skills
  • Savings on member-only services such as resume review and career coaching
  • A money-back satisfaction guarantee — if you’re not satisfied with FlexJobs for any reason, you can ask for a refund within 30 days of subscribing

As FlexJobs puts it:

“… we are not just a job site. We are a premium job search service, offering you personalized support, curated and trusted resources, and guiding tools to help you in your job search, your career, and your work-life fit.”

What is flexible work?

FlexJobs defines flexible work as including “full-time and part-time remote jobs, employee and freelance jobs, and on-site jobs with flexible, part-time, and alternative schedules.”

But if you’re lucky enough to land one of these jobs, don’t expect to spend the day with your feet up, watching soap operas. Even a remote job is still work — and it’s full of challenges.

As we noted in “7 Common Challenges of Working From Home — and How to Master Them“:

“Working remotely means flexibility and freedom. No commute, no office politics, no gum-chewing cubicle mate to get on your nerves. But be aware of potential drawbacks, which can range from minor annoyances to serious issues that can make or break an at-home career.”
