The coronavirus outbreak has closed many restaurants and shifted others to takeout and delivery only.

Stay-at-home orders in many states also have sparked a cooking and baking frenzy among many people who might never have considered themselves to be competent home cooks.

Well, get out your mixing bowls and pull on that apron because some of those restaurant chains and other food businesses have opened their kitchen files to share recipes for some favorite dishes.

Until we can get back to our favorite eateries, here are some famed dishes you now can create at home.

1. McDonald’s Sausage McMuffin with Egg

Mickey D’s Sausage McMuffin with Egg doesn’t look that difficult to assemble, but it’s good to have a recipe to follow the first time you make something.

McDonald’s UK (United Kingdom) tweeted out these so-easy instructions for making the famous breakfast sandwich at home. It’s so simple you might just skip the drive-through.

2. Chipotle guacamole

What’s a burrito without guacamole? Now you can make Chipotle Mexican Grill’s guac at home. Use it as a dip, topping or filling.

The popular chain shares its straightforward recipe on Twitter. Get ready. It’ll guac your world.

3. IKEA’s Swedish meatballs

Food, from a furniture store? It seems an odd combination but shoppers at the Swedish furniture company IKEA have long brightened up shopping excursions with stops at the chain’s cafeterias. There’s a Scandinavian accent to many dishes served there.

Now, fans can make the chain’s Swedish meatballs and cream sauce from scratch with IKEA’s official recipe. The recipe calls for rusk flour (rusks are a type of toast commonly eaten in Sweden), but you might try breadcrumbs instead.

The meatballs traditionally are served with lingonberry jam, boiled potatoes, salad and pickles. For extra realism, snack on this dish while assembling a Billy bookcase.

4. DoubleTree Signature Cookie Recipe

Checking in to most hotels is pretty boring, but check-in at a DoubleTree by Hilton includes a tasty treat. The chain often offers a plate of fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies on the check-in desk.

With few of us able to freely travel these days, the hotel chain has released its DoubleTree Signature Cookie Recipe so fans can bake up the cookies at home.

You may have your own chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it’s fun to experiment. This one has a couple of novel ingredients: lemon juice and cinnamon.

5. Disney Parks Churro Bites

Disney theme parks are almost as famous for their food as for their thrill rides. One favorite is the sweet and crunchy churro, a distinctively shaped fried-dough treat dusted in sugar and cinnamon.

Disney shares the recipe for its churro bites (a smaller version of churros sold in Disney’s parks).

It requires a bit of work but if you’re willing to get out a piping bag and risk the splatter of hot oil, you can close your eyes, put on a Disney soundtrack, and pretend you’re in Fantasyland.

6. Disney Dole Whip

It can get hot at Florida’s Walt Disney World and in California’s Disneyland. Sometimes you need an icy cool-down snack between rides. Disney’s Dole Whip is a tropical treat you now can make at home.

Travel + Leisure has the three-ingredient recipe. It mixes vanilla ice cream, pineapple juice and frozen pineapple for a creamy, cool drink.
