Pixi Beauty’s Hydrating Milky Collection has everything your over 40 skin wants and needs. Infused with Coconut Oat Extract, Probiotics, Arginine, Hyaluronic Acid (my fav hydrator) Vitamin A, Cocoa Bean, and Shea Butter. Kiss dry skin buh-bye!
Milk has long been known as a beauty treatment for firm, youthful skin. To preserve the vitality and beauty of her skin, it is said that Cleopatra regularly took baths in donkey milk. While most of us won’t be going that route, we can get the beauty benefits of milk with the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection.
The first thing I noticed about the Hydrating Milky Collection is that is thicker and richer than other Pixi skincare collections making it perfect for our dry over 40 skin. Oily skinned gals need not apply, I think it would be too moisturizing for them.
The 7-pc. collection includes:
Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover $ 24 removes the most stubborn eye, lip and face makeup yet is gentle enough to not strip the skin of essential moisture. Shake and then push down on the top to deliver just the right amount of product.
Hydrating Milky Cleanser $ 18 is a creamy, hydrating cleanser that is enriched with moisturizing Coconut Extract, Willow Bark Extract and skin-perfecting probiotics.
This comes out the tube quite thick. It then emulsifies when water is added but it is still richer than most cleansers I use. That said, is the perfect way to cleanse AND hydrate. My skin does NOT feel tight after using.
Hydrating Milky Tonic $ 15 calms, balances and hydrates your skin. The formula is enhanced with skin-loving botanicals such as Matricaria Flower Water, Jojoba Seed Oil, Camellia Leaf Extract, Orange Peel Extract, Rose Flower Extract, Vanilla Extract, Grape Extract, Lemon Extract, Clove Extract and Lavender Extract. It’s suitable for all skin types including very dry or sensitive skin. Use after cleanser. I’m impressed with how soothing this is.
Hydrating Milky Lotion $ 24 is a deeply moisturizing formula that features a unique blend of Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Cocoa Seed Extract. Other skin-loving ingredients include Sweet Almond Oil and Black Oat Extract. This lotion to is thicker than most of Pixi’s moisturizers. However, you don’t need a lot so it should last you a long time. Bonus: you can use this on your body too!
Hydrating Milky Serum $ 24 is a revitalizing boost for skin! It intensely hydrates while it protects & improves elasticity. Aloe Vera calms & soothes, Vitamins C & E nourish & heal and Jojoba Oil moisturizes. It has a lightweight, silky feel that brings a natural radiance to the skin.
Again, this has a different consistency than most serums. It is not thin or watery, but exactly as described–milky. I’m happy that it absorbs fully very quickly. If you have a problem with fragrance in your skincare, this serum has a quite pungent floral scent. It disappears quickly but is fairly strong originally.
Hydrating Milky Peel $ 24. This moisturizing peel-off micro-peeling cream is made to be used daily or as needed. The cream clears away dead skin cells in order to delicately brighten your complexion. The formula contains Natural Cellulose, Coconut Extract, Oat Extract, and Probiotics for added moisture. Arginine also helps boost your skin’s collagen and elastin production for youth-preserving effect.
You will notice right away that this peel has crystals but don’t rub them in yet! Apply a thin layer of the peel, then after 2-3 minutes, massage into the skin. The peel will start to pill up and you can then rinse it off. Gentle yet effective!
Hydrating MilkyMist$ 15 is a featherlight mist-on moisturizer that provides a surge of hydration with Hyaluronic Acid to help plump skin by trapping moisture.
This review is quite late because I was testing other skincare brands. I’m kicking myself for not getting to it quicker because it turns out I LOVE this collection! My skin is dry and dehydrated from the cold winter and Pixi’s Hydrating Milky Collection is helping to reverse that!
