Well, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve purchased anything from Too Faced. Yet when I saw the Too Faced Sugar Peach Shimmering Face and Eye Palette, I was immediately drawn to it. These warm glowy shades are my jam and perfect for summer.
The Sugar Peach Shimmering Face and Eye Palette $ 44 is a latecomer to the Peach Collection. The shades lend themselves to beautiful, glowy yet natural summer looks. At my age, I definitely don’t want to be seen from outer space, yet I do want some dimension and radiance to my face.
Originally I thought the palette consisted of bronzer, highlighter, and two blushes. However, Peach Honey which I thought was a bronzer is actually a blush. I tried to use it as a bronzer and it was a total fail. Now I do have fair skin, but it is definitely more orange than it looks in the pan. That said, it makes a really pretty orangey/bronzey blush for a radiant summer glow.
The four pearlescent powders deliver pigment in one swipe with differing dimensions of radiance. They have a soft and creamy texture and can be used wet or dry. Used wet you will get a brighter, more intense shimmer. I’ve used all the shades on the eyes and cheeks with success.
Peach Pearl is a shimmery champagne, it not only works as a cheek highlighter but also as a brow and inner corner highlight on the eyes. Sugared Peach is a matte peachy coral blush with tiny gold sparkles. The sparkle does not translate to the skin–that’s okay with me because I enjoy having a true matte blush in the palette. It also makes an ideal transition/crease shade on the eyes. Peach Honey is a shimmery apricot and Peach Pop is a shimmery pink with a gold shift. Both of these look amazing on the eyes as well.
The packaging is fabulous! The design on the palette is an ombre going from pink to peach adorned with gold writing and stars. Surrounding the heavy palette is a gold band with a heart shaped closure. Though probably not ideal for travel, I love the girly look of the palette. The powders have the same peach scent as other products in the peach collection. This one I have to actually get right down there to smell the peach scent.
All the shades in the Sugar Peach Shimmering Face and Eye Palette can be used on their own or mixed together. Being able to use the palette for both blush and eyes gives the palette a nice versatility. Fair beauties like me will need to use a light hand, medium and darker skin tones can go a bit heavier.
For this eye look, I used Sugared Peach in the crease, Peach Honey on the lid and Peach Pearl on the brow bone. I popped Peach Pop on the apples of my cheeks and used an old MAC Creamsheen Only You on my lips. I can see myself wearing this a lot this summer!
